The Effect Auditions

Thank you for deciding to audition for The Effect! We’re really excited to see what people bring to the characters.

An audition will be roughly 10 minutes long, please arrive before your selected time slot to ensure smooth running of the sessions.

Auditionees will NOT be asked to perform any scenes involving intimacy, nudity or combat. There is no requirement to be off book – the audition is not a memory test! In fact, we would encourage auditionees to perform with the scripts in hand where possible (printed copies will be available on the day).

- Please select ONE scene for the character you wish to read for (there are two for each character)

- We may ask you to cold-read another scene during your audition, but please feel free to let us know if you would find that difficult for any reason. It will not be a barrier to a successful audition, nor to an individual being cast

- If you would like to audition for more than one character, please select one scene for each of those characters, and be prepared to perform both
